This artwork is a blend of cotton and vegetable silk. The woven textile is carefully applied to a linen substrate, which provides a border between the textile and frame. This piece is offered in our lucite frame. Our signature gold St. Frank plate is featured in the bottom right-hand corner of each piece.

*Please note that as unique, handmade piece, no two pieces are ever exactly the same and color varies across monitors. Our website photos are a close representation of this work, but may not be identical to the piece you receive.

Polishing

Surface gloss can be maintained by using a soft cloth and specialty plastic cleaner or polish, following cleaning fluid container instructions.

Cleaning

Begin by gently blowing away any loose dust or dirt from the lucite surface. Using a mild soap solution or a plastic cleaner and a non-abrasive lint-free cloth, wipe the surface using light pressure. To remove grease, oil, or tar deposits use hexane or kerosene followed by a soap solution.

Removing Scratches

Fine scratches may be removed by hand polishing with a plastic polish scratch remover. Remove all residue and polish with a soft cloth.

Framed textiles are custom framed once they are ordered. Allow 8-10 weeks for framing and delivery. Expedited options may be available by emailing service@stfrank.com.

This item may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Due to the difficulty of packaging and shipping of Sublime size art, St. Frank will charge a fee for returning art of this size. Please contact us for further information.

Provenance

This piece was created by skilled women weavers in central Morocco, North Africa. Weaving is a skill passed down through generations and part of Morocco's cottage industry. The symbols each have meanings inspired by the women's surroundings: wheat, mountains, butterflies, fertility, and protection against the evil eye. Each piece takes many days to complete and natural variations are part of the beauty of handmade items. Your purchase helps support artisan communities and the preservation of traditional craft.
