Welcome to our new Palm Beach abode, affectionately known as “The Beach House.” We’re thrilled to be returning to the island after our popup shop at The Royal Poinciana Plaza two seasons ago. In this new store design, you can see that we brought back some elements of our first space, most notably the traditional built in cabinetry. But we’ve also shown off a lot that’s new, especially our wallpaper, bedding, and accessories.
Stepping back, we are located on charming South County Road, in the heart of Palm Beach next to some of this town’s oldest boutiques and most frequented establishments, and just one block from the ocean. Our building is historic, and therefore the yellow facade with white detailed trim is original and preserved.
Walking into our space, you are welcomed into a foyer turned living room. The walls are covered in our Teal Vines Suzani wallpaper and decorated with our surfboards and art. The trim paint, which is carried into the walls of the proceeding room, and the trim of the back room, is Farrow & Ball Inchyra Blue in a semi-gloss finish. We selected this color because it calls out colors in both wallpapers featured in the space and allows for a seamless transition. Similar to the dark walls we tend towards, this blue-green hue acts as a dressed up seaside palette.
The center room is a a cozy study with a seating area, gallery wall, and shelves filled with our wares, including resort beach bags handmade in Ghana that we are debuting with this store opening. From there, you look into our wow-moment bedroom: a Ecru Cactus Silk- covered outlet. The bed shows off our bedding line, launching in January. Finally, the ceiling throughout was painted Farrow & Ball’s Off White in matte to complement the ecru wallpaper in this room.
Our goal was to show off our eclectic collection and bohemian sensibility but do it in a way that spoke to a more traditional aesthetic and lifestyle. What do you think of the result?
